I'm a big big meany!!

I made a boy cry yesterday, and that made me cry!
So I am the CTR 5 teacher in primary, I love my class. They are a little rowdy and silly at times but really... who isn't when your 5... right?? Well when I first started teaching these guys they were awesome! always reverent and listening. Steve was with me as well so if they did get a little crazy we could tag team. But now Steve has been called to be secretary in the elders Quarm and so I am all alone! eek! well you would think it wouldn't be so bad seeing how there are never more then 6 of them.
I am convinced that the parents feed them pure sugar before they send them off to primary. So the past few weeks I have been trying different things to keep them focused but having fun! I have heard /seen this from a few "I don't like you, the other teacher is better" (the other teacher being someone I grabbed to sit with them for a few moments), "I want to go home", "I am listening!" (as they continue to chatter about what ever goes on in a 5 yr old mind.), taking off shoes and piling them up in the middle of the room, standing up on chairs and seeing ow far they can jump.
So yesterday, after weeks of going home exhausted and on my last straw. They were not listening and being crazy, so I said "You know, you guys a being very rude, and not very nice, I have prepared a lesson, games and activities and even an Easter treat."
I look over a Jayden and he looks at me with a tear in his eye and says " but I was so nice when I came with my mom to your house to drop off that stuff" and by this time he is crying! I looked and him and tried to convince him that He is a nice person, and so is everyone is the class, but they aren't acting very nice by not listening or cooperating... he continued to sit on my lap for the rest of the class giving me lots of a hugs.
I felt bad for calling them mean, but I was getting tired of trying to keep them tamed.
So I am not sure what to do now.. I have tried many different activities, games, stories, etc.
any suggestions?!?!?!

Summer is coming... get out your sunscreen... please!

So as I was surfing the web today I found this very disturbing and eye opening artical.

Growing up I was always told to put on sunscreen, I did when my parents where there to put it on me but now I dont always.. saying.. "I don't burn! I just tan" well I think this summer I will be lathering on the SPF 30 or more!

In this artical is says "Melanoma is the second most frequently reported cancer in women in their 20s, and it's third only to breast and thyroid cancers for women in their 30s, reports the National Cancer Institute. "Melanoma is one of the few forms of cancer that's on the rise," says Dr. Rigel." you still dont hear about it as much. (I think anyways)

People should be educated more on skin cancers and other cancers. every time I hear the word Cancer I cringe... it's a scary word and a scary disease. But it's part of this world and we should educate ourselves.

Lady A

I love music, and even more I love good songs I can sing along to. I was listening to the Radio a while ago and this really good song came on.. I wanted to know who sang it, and why hadn't I heard it before! Well, I finally figured out that I was Lady Antebellum....and I have been in love ever since.

Then Steve and I were watching the AMA's and they were preforming... Steve mentions that Charles looks just like "that guy from N'sync"...I turn to him and say.. you mean Lance?... well now I cant get it out of my mind that they look very similar... Charles is better looking and is a much much better singer!

Gray at 23?

So I turned 23 this year, and to my surprise I found 2 gray hairs!!! I am very upset about this. Steve says there is nothing to worry about. But think about it.... 23 and 2 grays? what will happen next next year? Will I have 2 more? And you would think, aw 2 that's not bad, but jeeze they stick out like a sore thumb. and I have some hair on top that looks blond..... I am not blond... I am brunette... and very dark! so I was talking to Angie ( my friend, and hairstylist.) and she said they could be the next to go gray!?!?! NO way!!!
My mom didn't go Gray until 30! That's 7 years away... no fair!
